Nicola Jane Francis is a London based character animator with a passion for characters. Currently studying for her MA at Central St Martins’ after graduating from BA Animation at LCC in 2016, Nicola has been fortunate to work on a number of freelance projects over the past few years, alongside her own personal films.
Her work includes a short film for FREED at Maudsley Hospital, a short promotional piece for Eversholt Rail Group, the short film “Love Always” which featured in London Short Film Festival in 2016, the title sequence for feature film ‘Requiem for a fighter’, the short film ‘Blue End’ featured in Cannes shorts corner in 2018, and animated loops for Mont Blanc UKs’ collaboration with Le Petit Prince. Most recently, Nicola has collaborated with Director Mariam Abid Majid to create an installation in the Pakistan Pavilion at Somerset House during London Design Biennale. She is also in collaboration with TACIF on a short film project about their work on the banks of the Amazon river.
